Bug #829 triggers lock-up in Baldur's Gate

Here is the pertinent error message from Wine: fixme:ddraw:DIB_DirectDrawSurface_Blt dwFlags DDBLT_WAIT and/or DDBLT_ASYNC: can't handle right now. This fixme is only encountered during game 'movies' (including resting and death scenes). I have a full logfile if anyone is interested. Note if you need the MSVBVM60.dll (vb6 runtime) download the first testcase. WARNING: Clicking modal appears like nothing has happened - You need to expand the first form in order to see the 'hung' dialog which is treated as a child and clipped to the first form. Note it doesnt accept mouse input at all, but escape does remove it. But there would probably be some common part too. It may not be very useful to add C++ support for stabs at this point since it is being replaced by DWARF2 in gcc 3 (see bug 834) and using gcc 3 is highly recommended if you are going to do Winelib C++ development anyway. But C++ support for DWARF2 would be useful for Winelib work, and C++ support for the windows format for people porting their Windows applications (or wanting to use MFC42.pdb) using Wine. Once work starts on this, it may be worth making this a metabug and attaching individual tasks to it. Reason is an electronic music program. It seems to look for some registry (or other) entry to see whether it is running under Win 98 or Win NT. When it can't find the entry, it exits with a dialog box saying: "This application requires at least Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0 to run!" It does the same thing when I try to run it on Win 95.
