If the crash is caused by dereferencing 0xdeadbeef then it's probably due to the unimplemented CryptGetLocalKeyLimits function. I had a quick scoot around, I can't find any docs on that, MSDN doesn't appear to have any info on it, so maybe it's a callback or undocumented function?
