While I understand your explanations, I think the performance penalty incurred by running Starcraft at 16 or 24 bpp is obvious enough compared to previous versions to leave the report open. I was playing TLJ through Windows remote Desktop, and noticed it crashed due to lack of a z-buffer. I went and made a new release of the game (Version 158, not official at this point, but you can ask me and I may give you the binaries). The result is a "working" TLJ. I can get into the game and play it. However, the lack of a z-buffer causes the game's characters to flicker madly and generally look bad.
