Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P1 Component: wine-ole AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: durand.d(a)9online.fr Hi, I'm trying to install a VB program of genealogy : Visuged; (http://www.visuged.org/accueil.php3 )with the last version of Wine. this program works with an Access database. The installation seems to work fine and I can launch the app. (the appareance is better with the last version). When I want to import a gedcom file and after save it as a mdb base, I get the following message in a box : "<Erreur n°-2147221166> <Erreur Automation> Attention, ce traitement va être abandonné !" and the screen return back to the interface of the soft. Maybe this problem is closed to the n° 3909 ? I put the log in attachment. It should work even without setting mfc42.dll to be overridden; just copying it (or installing some app that installs it) should do fine. In general any recipe that has a step "... and mark this DLL as override ..." cannot be used to close a bug in wine. I am using latest cvs (20060929) and it is stil there. OSS+Hardware, OSS+Emulation, Alsa+Hw, Alsa+Emu, ARTS+Hw, ARTS+Emu, still the same crash. It is happening when I try to start Career from begining, or Challeng Series. There is only one Challeng series working with sound, it is number 69 (last). My system is: Debian Sid, kernel 2.6.18 (250Hz, SMP), 1GB RAM, CPU Intel Core 2 Duo X6800, Nvidia GF6800GS PCI-E (latest stable drivers), Sound Blaster Live! I tried it with integrated sound card (same problem), with different MB+CPU+RAM (A 64 3200+), with different kernel (2.6.16.x and 2.6.17.x). It is working without any problems in cedega.
