I noticed that the DirectX installer didn't seem to work properly. I tried running the installer directly from the command line (Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/puzzle quest/DXRedist/DXSETUP.exe). The installer appeared to function normally, but every time it tried to install a file, I got this error: err:setupapi:do_file_copyW Unsupported style(s) 0x144 That shows up about 150 times in a row. They can implement their own windowed rendering mechanism (e.g. by copying some offscreen buffer to the screen). Further not all drivers support our child window rendering method YET. Nvidia's drivers support it well and second recent versions of the opensource intel drivers should work too. Rich your issue is likely driver related. I plan to close this bug soon.
