In 0.9.51, the player, inventory and text-windows disappear and can't be switched back to appear... This was fixed in 0.9.52 it seems. But still, there's still a problem displaying the Text-Windows, which should be left of the game-screen (summary) and in a seperate window (complete text log). The windows appear correctly, but the text fields seem to be missing. Latest version i tested this was 0.9.57, where the bug still appears. If it helps, the client seems to be using wxWidgets and I only tested it on Ubuntu 7.10. If I run Bitvise Tunnelier (Tunnelier.exe, installer can be downloaded from www.bitvise.com/download-area) in Wine 0.9.53 I get the following problem when I try to login (establish a TCP/IP connection): fixme:winsock:convert_af_w2u unhandled Windows address family -1 fixme:winsock:WSASocketW Unsupported socket family -1! --- This is how Tunnelier calls WSASocketW(): WSASocketW(FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO, FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO, FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO, &m_protocolInfo, 0, WSA_FLAG_OVERLAPPED); and FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO has the value of -1. If you check WSASocket() in MSDN - http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms742212(VS.85).aspx - the 3rd paragraph of Remarks says the following: If the lpProtocolInfo is not NULL, the socket will be bound to the provider associated with the indicated WSAPROTOCOL_INFO structure. In this instance, the application can supply the manifest constant FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO as the value for any of af, type, or protocol parameters. This indicates that the corresponding values from the indicated WSAPROTOCOL_INFO structure (iAddressFamily, iSocketType, iProtocol) are to be assumed. In any case, the values specified for af, type, and protocol are passed unmodified to the transport-service provider. So, in dlls/ws2_32/socket.c WSASocketW() something like the code following needs to be added (taking into account that the trasport-service provider requirements doesn't affect Wine): if (lpProtocolInfo) { if (af == FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO) af = lpProtocolInfo->iAddressFamily; if (type == FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO) type = lpProtocolInfo->iSocketType; if (protocol == FROM_PROTOCOL_INFO) protocol = lpProtocolInfo->iProtocol; } So you see, it's a show stopper with a very simple solution. On a fresh .wine directory, when I run wine iexplore http://winehq.org, the application window appears, and I'm prompted to install Gecko, but then once it's installed, the contents of the window remain blank, save for a new widget border appearing at the top of the window contents. If the window is resized, the contents stop repainting themselves white, leaving a dark gray background after being covered. Then pressing OK you quit Steam, but there is not another process running. This happened since 28/03/08. I've been using Steam and never had a problem until now. When using native library xrender logs that it prints the following: \01fa\020d\0212\0219\021a\0003\0215\0208\0003\0015\0013\0003\01e8\0217\0218\020d\0213\0224\0003\0015\0013\0013\001b\0003\020b\0011 But when using built in, it adds two more charactes at the end: \0000\0000. Aha! Found it! Added more capture to windebug, and have caught the following: trace:text:DrawTextExW L"\0422\0435\043a\0441\0442 \043d\0430 21 \0410\043f\0440\0435\043b\044c 2008 \0433.\t\t", -1, [(4,3)-(749,17)] 00000824 So, here is the character: double tab. In windows, this would lead to aligning following text to right I suppose. The bug is reproduceable even with controlspy. Initially, I though that problem might be with fonts, but I've installed native windows fonts, but still it was there. What logs you might need?
