But! *TADA* Tooltips are there! However, I was not able to figure out how good do they work, because crappy fonts were spoiling everything and it was pretty hard do read anything. Just removing the test doesn't help us. Does the test work on Windows with these specific fonts? Then there is some bug in Wine and/or freetype otherwise the test or the font has a bug. As far as I can guess from what I remember of using them on real Windows, Wine is giving it 1-bit transparency when it's asking for an alpha channel. The copy protection checks for the delays in reading the disc caused by the deliberate changes made to its structure during manufacture. I also found this interesting: http://www.wipo.int/pctdb/en/wo.jsp?wo=2007026297&IA=WO2007026297&DISPLAY=S… .. a patent application entitled "Method of Storing Rotating Media Data in Image File", which demonstrates an approach to storing the information about a disc in a Media Descriptor File.
