When I used to try to fire up TF2 with earlier versions of wine, it used to be started quite often. If the OP is around, could you test this patch against your sample program? Note: I ran the later version of DocuWiki from http://www.splitbrain.org/blog/2008-05/16-dokuwiki_on_a_stick_2008-05-05 and didn't run it as root.
