That is to say that the reflection starts out quite vague and fuzzy near the object and gets clearer and denser further away. The whole thing gives the weird impression of there being a flatter version of the object sat just on the opposite side of the object. The most obvious example I can think of to demonstrate this is in HL2 Lost Coast when you are walking along the jetty at the start of the game you can see a collection of poles (the ones supporting the jetty) out at sea that slowly become indistinct as they stretch toward the jetty. These poles move rapidly as you move because they are always trying to stay opposite the jetty poles. I'm running NVidia drivers 100.14.19. Wine 0.9.46 & 0.9.47 tested with the same problem. I have tried it with "UseGLSL"="enabled" and "OffscreenRenderingMode"="fbo" with no real difference. Once you do this, the patcher (SagaPatcher.exe) will start up and run. It makes it through a couple of patches, one of just a few files, then another of 7000 files, then it moves on to a patch of 6000 files or so and crashes at around 2200-2300 files. I have no work-around for this. The only thing you can do here is to unzip the files called 0compressed.zip to 3compressed.zip into a new folder. Now to my first mentioned work-arounds. Here are the shell commands I have entered: cd mkdir nfsmw cd nfsmw # I asume here your MW-CD 1 is in your DVD drive and you have setup /etc/fstab that it will be mounted to /dvd/ by regular users. mount /dvd ln -s /dvd/AutoRunGUI.dll /dvd/AutoRun.exe . wine /dvd/AutoRun.exe These symlinks are required if you want to launch the installer, else he will look in the folder /home/your_name/nfsmw/ for it! First all things that have to be done until you could try to start... Installing DirectX from Lost Planet CD: - Nativ fusion.dll - Nativ Msvcr70.dll - Nativ MsCoree.dll After this ones the directx version on CD will install! Game: WMVCore.dll -> is located in the Lost Planet Folder in the steam folder! -> Installed Windows Media Player 9 and copied the wmvcore.dll from there to the LP folder and overwritten the 24 KB file with 2 MB file! - Nativ Quartz - Nativ devenum - Nativ wmvcore - Nativ mscat32 And now i got far away from old crash point, but got a nice crash dump/console output! Maybe it's usefull for anyone... Ah, before i forget about it: tried to start the dx9 version of game!
