Enabling tracing for d3d shows that this happens at least in the vincinity of context_bind_fbo, and context_apply_attachment_filter_states (dlls/wined3d/context.c). These functions lack OpenGL locking via ENTER_GL()/LEAVE_GL(). The app needs mfc42, and refuses to even start unless you do sh winetricks vcrun6 To see the tree problem, do File / New Configuration and click OK. The labels on the tree control to the left will be all ZZZZZZ. Instead of starting it displays the attached error message. There's one line of output: "fixme:shell:SHAutoComplete SHAutoComplete stub". Nothing is written under ~/.wine/ arethusa on #winehq confirmed this happens for him too. Screenshots may help to imagine it better. Bug is reproducible with Micro-Cap 7.1.0.0. Unfortunately there are no more legal ways to obtain demo version of 7th release so I've tested it a bit in my university. Demo of the latest version is only available but I can't reproduce the bug with MC9. Screenshots description: 1. Micro-Cap is running on wine. There're no DLL overrides here. 2. Micro-Cap is running on wine. There's override of comctl32.dll. 3.
