The change in behavior happened between wine 1.1.23 and 1.1.25. The colors appear all bluish and greyish. Strangely enough, this issue only occurs in Trillian Astra; I haven't seen this issue in any other program, or any of the earlier version of Trillian. The issue is simple enough. Any image with a transparent background appears black. The image will appear, however, the background, which is suppose to be transparent, is black. I will test this on Wine 1.0.25 later tonight after I get off work, running late enough as is. But, the issue has been here for as long as I can remember. After this EqnEd worked well. I also installed Crossover 8.0; EqnEd worked terribly in this environment, possibly because I put it in a Win98 bottle. I have installed Crossover 8.0 (root install), and then installed Office 2003 in a clean user profile in F10 - the equation editor works flawlessly in this environment for me.
