I have created a .jpg to visualize this bug. The bug was not shown in the err log proir to wine version 0.9.49 but the surfaces were missing anyway. Program installs correctly, and will start correctly if launched from command line or playonlinux. It will show the following error in a messagebox: "An installation support file 'C:\windows\temp\{2EC1A4D5-4217-4ABF-A783-3706EE405716}\isrt.dll' could not be installed. (0x80070002)". The wine output contains the following repeated message: "err:ole:marshal_object object doesn't expose interface {be6115a1-7de5-48dc-ad2a-25060e00fce2}, failing with error 0x80004002 err:ole:ClientIdentity_QueryMultipleInterfaces IRemUnknown_RemQueryInterface failed with error 0x80004002", before that there's just a few fixmes. The game uses an InstallShield Wizard. The Web Edition of Quartus 2 is a free download but is 1.5GiB.
