For example go in the character selection screen, hold down the mouse and look around for a second. If the mouse is now released the "looking around" moves hectic a fair way off from the point where the mouse was released. That should be bug #8354. The problem arises if you work around that bug either by 1) setting MouseWarpOverride to 'disable' or 2) using native dinput/dinput8 dlls In either case the mouse pointer is moving fine but mouse clicks don't register in the game, making it impossible to get past the main menu. There is a condition in WSASendTo() in ws2_32/socket.c which returns an EFAULT when lpNumberOfBytesSent is a NULL pointer. While this makes sense, setting this argument to NULL is explicitly allowed by the MSDN documentation, if the lpOverlapped parameter is present.
