Yes, the bug is still present. Tested with http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Joost-Download-71452.html, using the following command: wine start xulrunner/tvprunner.exe application.ini. With the patch from comment #13 now applied fails with "Invalid signature found on files". The main issue here is to be that wine doesn't seem to do any conversion for 16 bit ddraw surfaces(or it's broken some way or other), and it seems to have done in 0.9.16.
