It opens, runs fine, and then when a new game starts it just crashes. I'm using driconf for my 3D rendering because my computer has an nVidia card. When testing the latest git development code (it was a while ago) I noticed a strong performance regression when running direct3d applications. I proceeded with git bisecting the issue and came up with a single bad commit, reverting the offending commit fixed the issue. Nvidia's 270.xx.yy driver series fix the glMapBuffer alignment issues that caused major performance problems. If the user is using an older driver we now drop the VBO instead of using doublebuffered loading, which means that we fall back to the current behavior(no dynamic VBO) as needed.
