VCX2k10. COMCTL32, etc. etc. lock/freeze during installation. In WINE 1.5.14 *EVERYTHING* works flawless !!! Both compiled by me with same parameters and all winetricks packages installed in same order (tried different order , same problems) Notice that same package that locks in an attempt , might not lock in another fresh attempt and vice-verse, it's somehow random !!! Several of them fail with the same error, as follows: Fixme:winspool:ScheduleJob can't schedule to port L"xxx" Where "xxx" is the port name. With "PDFill Writer" the port is PDFillWriterPort. With PDFCreator it is pdfcmon. Another program had the same problem. CUPS-PDF does not produce searchable text . I therefore tried various Windows solutions. PDFCreator has been successful for me under Windows in the past. It installs perfectly under Wine, and the configuration programs runs OK. The hanging on multiplayer when having directplay wintricked (applied) Multiplayer is possible but it hangs on exiting. Tons of games (all using directplay/ tcp/ip) are infected. Some of the games: Age of Empires, Age of Empires 2, Commandos 3, Baldurs Gate 1 + 2, Praetorians, Imperial glory, Fallout series, and loads of others... Wine should be advanced enough to fix this bug right? Usually a few actions are possible before crash, but it always happens after a few seconds of the display of champion selection screen. Also, but maybe not the same bug, a similar error occurs randomly (e.g. sometimes when alt-tabbing).
