They are always the letters 'fi' which appear incorrectly. Currently the application has bug #31823 so the help viewer isn't displayed correctly (there is a patch in #31823, though). 'winetricks corefonts' doesn't help. Plain terminal output doesn't show anything interesting. To reproduce the problem: 1. install the application and start it with scad3.exe 2. press <F1> to open the help viewer and browse the contents...the occurrence of the characters 'fi' is quite common.
