May be related or not to bug 12930 (and the failure of the service to initialize). Both do not happen at the same time but they appeared in the same version. There are not settings (in the game) that change the outcome of the shadows not rendering correctly. In addition, this was checked using several different GPUs and CPUs to rule-out possible hardware (AMD CPU vs Intel CPU and AMD 7970/AMD R270m). This game uses the Dreamworld engine which is also used in "Age of Conan." The attachment shows an in-game screenshot of the shadow rendering. This is my first bug report here.
