Unfortunately it seems that Wine D3D support is not detected by this application, which starts in software mode and won't even show the relevant graphic option. The D3D accelerated features have been tested as working when using the original HW and VMWare Fusion 8. Run ArcGIS_Desktop_106_161544.exe to extract the installer to your Documents folder. 2. Run the installer from the Documents folder. 3. Cancel out of the license activation dialog. 4. Go to ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/ArcGIS/Desktop10.6/bin and run `winedbg ArcMap.exe` (running through winedbg avoids ArcGIS's builtin backtrace-suppressing crash dialog). Type c and press Enter to start the program. The program crashes in gdi32, but it's not clear to me that gdi32 is the problem.
