The resolution changes, I still get the sound effects, I get a cursor, and apparently mouseover sounds, but nothing else. Steam has installed d3dx9_31.dll for me, and I installed steam using winetricks. Both steam and the addon forged alliance work fine. With my amd rx480 it is impossible to use the dx11 modern multi-threaded renderer to play. It results in single digit fps. The single threaded legacy renderer works.
