Nothing on either side of this trace seemed out of the ordinary. After the most recent patch, I was unable to use wine-staging 2.21, which had been working excellently for me. Wine 3.5 has trouble: loading the "Hero Attack 3X" (popular) arcade game, the game crashes. I've attached a "WINEDEBUG=warn+all" log, and can help debug. It does, however, still work in Wine up until version 8.3. On the current Wine version, the games launcher starts and updates the game. Afterwards the games .exe starts and you can see it in the process list. However, the game window does not show up. The game developers have introduced a niche Unity store anti-cheat solution with version 450, so this might be an issue. However, since the game still runs in Wine 8.3, there seems to be a way to also have it run on current versions. It is possible to download and install the game without having a game account. The error occurs right after the games .exe starts up, before the login window appears. I receive a notice that there's an error and Battle.net has to shut down. I close it, and the error shows up again. This continues in a cycle until I use "wineserver -k" to exit. The backtrace saved from this has been attached. I am able to use the Settings button on the login screen for the Battle.net app, as well as typing in a username/password, but I cannot go any farther than that because there is no submit button and it doesn't seem to want to load. Be aware that I had previously been loading Starcraft II directly using the SC2Switcher.exe executable, but because a new version needs to be downloaded, I'm needing to get into the Battle.net app. Not sure if not using the app is a side effect. After a fresh install of linux, I keep getting this error using the same wineprefix as before as well as after a completely new install in a brand new wineprefix. I've also tried winearch win32 and win64 (trying both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of photoshop.exe in the wine64 winearch) with the same results. Both during normal usage, but more critically, when it's VRAM budget is low or over-committed. This can be seen on Intel GPUs in the game's stderr output with a line similar to: ---snip--- ** Downsizing Textures, Over Budget by : 115 Mb ---snip--- Followed by (in wine-7.12 or older) or prior (in wine-7.13 or later) multiple fixmes: ---snip--- 0024:fixme:d3dx:D3DXLoadSurfaceFromMemory Unhandled filter 0x5. ---snip--- See also the attached log from wine-7.13.
