Thanks for reading my topic. Ubuntu 24.04.1 and WINE 9.18 ( version 9.21 crash some softwares related with the bug https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=57306 so not tested with that version ). ROMCenter 4.1.1 32 bits. An rom manager software using database hash. When is done the creation of database happen an crash showing the error message below and close the software. IO Exception cannot locate resource images/defaultsystemicon.png Seeing in some sites is as if is related with net framework. Some WINE previous versions the software run perfectly without errors. Thus only the 32-bit dll is available and the 64-bit test is skipped. The crash happens in the following call: hr = IAssemblyCache_InstallAssembly(cache, 0, L"wine.dll", NULL); But skipping this call just moves the crash to the next InstallAssembly() call. It's not clear whether the crash is caused by the NULL RefData pointer: the crash still happens if I pass a non-NULL but pretty empty FUSION_INSTALL_REFERENCE structure (in particular szNonCannonicalData == NULL). I tried to check if bug #19858 is still an issue. Unfortunately I hit a rsync call which fails: $ rsync -aq --delete-before dir-a dir-b rsync: [Receiver] Failed to dup/close: Socket operation on non-socket (108) rsync error: error in IPC code (code 14) at pipe.c(157) [Receiver=3.2.7] rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [sender] rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(231) It looks like rsync forks a child process, and the child tries then to close the derived socket, which cannot be found in closesocket/socket_list_remove.
