The sliders themselves have not looked right for quite a while, but after this update, they are unresponsive and unusable. Unix symlinks could be mapped into junction points. This would allow applications (e.g. Picasa) avoid following symlinks if they wanted to. Also, the .net 2 installer would be happier in winxp mode if wine supported junction points (see bug 10601): "The .NET 2.0 Framework installer checks if the target volume is NTFS filesystem type and then uses the FSCTL_SET_REPARSE_POINT ioctl (used for mount points and junctions) to create junction points for each registered assembly in Windows SxS directory to GAC assembly directory (link target). Basically the junction point is used to redirect access from one directory to another." This bug occurs from version 612 and onward (now at 613), which basically doesn't open the window at all (but the process isn't killed, so it just hangs in the terminal and I'm unable to terminate it). After the most recent patch, I was unable to use wine-staging 2.21, which had been working excellently for me. Wine 3.5 has trouble: loading the "Hero Attack 3X" (popular) arcade game, the game crashes. I've attached a "WINEDEBUG=warn+all" log, and can help debug. Nothing on either side of this trace seemed out of the ordinary. It does, however, still work in Wine up until version 8.3. On the current Wine version, the games launcher starts and updates the game. Afterwards the games .exe starts and you can see it in the process list. However, the game window does not show up. The game developers have introduced a niche Unity store anti-cheat solution with version 450, so this might be an issue. However, since the game still runs in Wine 8.3, there seems to be a way to also have it run on current versions. It is possible to download and install the game without having a game account. The error occurs right after the games .exe starts up, before the login window appears.
