I recreated the original patch 1 to 1 and confirmed it was valid and resolved all reported issues. I ran `git diff > git.patch` to produce the new patch. I ran `git apply git.patch` without any of the previous Hunk FAILED errors. (See the attached images) It is possible to run the game with xephyr (Xephyr -br -ac -noreset -screen 960x600x16 :4) in a lower color mode, which fixes the issues. It seems 32-bit color causes issues with the game. Sadly, xepyhr is not available on all platforms.
