In order for this to work properly, the output handle created in this code must be inherited by the subprocess - thus the bInheritHandles argument to CreateProcess must be TRUE. And indeed if this program is compiled to test-true.exe, a simple text file 'test.in' and the gzip binary are placed in the same directory, and then test-true.exe is run, it successfully produces the output test.gz. If the TRUE argument is switched to FALSE and the file is compiled again to test-false.exe, when the program is run in the same way on a 'real' Windows sytem (32 bit Vista Business in this case) the following is output: gzip: stdout: Bad file descriptor This is also fine and expected, since the output file handle was not passed to gzip. *However* if the same test-false.exe program is run with Wine (the Fedora 10 wine-core-1.1.12-1.fc10.i386 package in this case) it runs in just the same way as test-true.exe, generating the test.gz output. This suggests to me that the bInheritHandles argument is ignored by Wine. As stated, this is a minor bug but it would be nice if Wine behaved the same way as Windows here. (In our case we discovered this problem after we tested our program successfully under Wine, but then had it fail on a real Windows system.) The resizing handles should be visible when clicking an object with the select tool. By contrast, the turning/shearing handles are visible. The turning/shearing handels appear when clicking an object twice with the select tool. Additionally, Bezier handles and points on curves do appear, but in wrong colors (cyan instead of red). Bezier handles and points appear when using the edit shape tool. This is on a wine 1.1.2 install on Ubuntu Linux 8.04 in its standard settings. The same bug is present when using Xara Xtreme X1, which is the thirdlast edition. The bug is also present in earlier versions of wine (e.g. 0.9.56) and CrossOver (e.g. 7.0.1). Installed Radmin server 3.1 (http://www.famatech.com/download/rserv31.exe) on a windows computer. 2. Installed Radmin viewer 3.1 on a linux computer with wine installed. 3. Started Radmin viewer and open "Connection Properties" window (can be reached "Right click on connection icon" --> "Properties" or "Connection" --> "Connect to"). The list of intermediate hosts in "Advanced settings" should be grayed (disabled) until checkbox "Connect through host" is marked. The issue is caused by GL_FRAMEBUFFER_SRGB remaining enabled while rendering to the default framebuffer (FBO 0), leading to a double gamma/sRGB conversion in some Wayland/EGL pipelines. Disabling GL_FRAMEBUFFER_SRGB only when rendering to the default framebuffer fixes the color output. Environment Wine: wine-git (tested on 11.x, reproducible on current master) Backend: winewayland.drv (Wayland native, not XWayland) GPU: AMD (Mesa) Compositor: wlroots-based (qtile Wayland) EGL backend in use Application tested: Roon (Chromium/CEF-based UI, OpenGL rendering) Observed behavior Colors appear faded / washed out Gamma looks incorrect (as if double sRGB conversion occurs) Issue only occurs under Wayland/EGL Colors are correct: Under X11/XWayland Or if GL_FRAMEBUFFER_SRGB is manually disabled for FBO 0 Root cause hypothesis Some Wayland/EGL compositors already perform colorspace handling for the window surface. If GL_FRAMEBUFFER_SRGB remains enabled when rendering to the default framebuffer, the pipeline applies sRGB conversion twice: App → GL_FRAMEBUFFER_SRGB → EGL/Compositor colorspace → Display This results in desaturated output. Minimal fix Disable GL_FRAMEBUFFER_SRGB only when binding the default framebuffer (FBO 0), while preserving the application's requested sRGB state for non-default FBOs. Instead of expected categorized views for plugins, behaviors, effects, events and expression dictionary (where I've noticed it so far) they are all displayed as a whole in their own window, making navigation and selecting the correct item harder. I'm naming it "probably generic problem" as I've noticed it in the Construct Classic's insert object dialog as well, and I suspect that every Windows program making use of this exact element has the same issue, as it is may not be fully implemented in Wine's code. To see reproduced problem in application itself: 1. Install the latest Wine development version (11.3) along with Mono & Gecko dependencies (as it has requested me to do); 2. Download the latest ever Construct 2 installer from this direct official link: https://downloads.construct.net/construct2/261/construct2-r280-setup.exe SHA-256: f331a31320be71135bfb0df0bf6b7442fe416062bdf726b436120dbfa0a20338 3. Run the installer in default Wine prefix and follow through all wizard's steps; 4. After program runs for the first time, you can select any "Check for updates" setting if requested (personally I select "Don't check" as the program has no official support either way) and create a new project (one quick way to do so is press Ctrl + N, then Enter); 5. You can now call one problematic dialog right away. Either double-click somewhere on the layout, or right-click and choose "Insert new object"; 6. In this installation I stumbled on the issue that the EAC plugins were not recognized. This issue is said to be fixed in #43270. I have manually compiled Wine 4.17 for 32bit, which let to the output in the attachment. After winetricks dotnet20 I was able to run EAC.exe, including the plugins that were previously missing, this resulted in not able to retrieve information about CDs. But this seems to be a side effect of the plugins "working". When selecting Build-in freedb engine under Metadata options, information was retrieved. The second attachment shows the problem using the CUETools plugin.
