The tty size is only read upon start and remains fixed. Attaching a hack that fixes it for me. With EGL, I'm getting various hangs and some assertion failures, some intermittent. I also consistently see this message, which isn't otherwise present: amdgpu: os_same_file_description couldn't determine if two DRM fds reference the same file description. If they do, bad things may happen! With GLX, things seem to just completely break: 0024:err:wgl:X11DRV_WineGL_InitOpenglInfo couldn't initialize OpenGL, expect problems libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to create screen amdgpu: os_same_file_description couldn't determine if two DRM fds reference the same file description. If they do, bad things may happen! libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to create screen LLVM ERROR: out of memory Allocation failed The errors mostly seem to be related to OOM. Sometimes I do seem to get a more silent hang though. This bug report is a bit vague, but hopefully at least one of these symptoms can be reproduced. When a window is maximized, if it is attempted to minimize, it immediately pops back up, if there's another wine window showing, it sometimes "properly" minimize (sometimes even disappearing from the system tray), but then it randomly pops back up. Another issue regarding maximized windows, is that restoring them properly puts their top left corner to the right position, but doesn't resize them, thus leaving them with the maximized size. I can confirm that this is a wine regression as i encountered it both on an arch system where wine was updated alongside kde 6.5.X (so could've been either of the two causing the issue, especially after kwin had broken clipboard handling for wine, then later fixed). But i now tested on another system on which only wine was updated to 10.19, with kde still at 5.2.9 and the issue started appearing there as well. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. They are based on the Electron framework. All began with commit a085746bbe3594e4ea01ea578823383e6447b6b6 when there was an unresponsive, empty black window and the app was constantly using 100% CPU. In Wine-11.0-rc1 this is evolved to an empty white window (CPU usage is low). Prior to commit a085746bbe the apps were displaying window contents properly. You don't need to have a Itch.io account to reproduce the bug: after installation the login screen is shown but is is unusable due to this bug. After a while from clicking said icon, the "Steamwebhelper is not responding" window [2] will appear, with a few different options to restart things with, of which none do any better. I believe the src\vgui2\vgui_surfacelib\Win32Font.cpp (963) : Couldn't get string length line shows up only when this problem can be seen, which could be a sort of a hint at least. Building before the mentioned commit, or reverting it, and efce37afd70 due to conflicts, on current 'git master' will make it work again. Hacking on it a bit, removing the 'wcsupr(refkey->name);' line also makes it work, though maybe that is obvious in this case, and might more or less nullify the point of the uppercasing intended. (Did not try a fresh prefix and clean install of Steam yet due to the cumbersome log-in process, but hopefully that is not necessary here.) Last tested at 'wine-10.17'. Restoring a minimized fullscreen notepad gets not drawn immediately. Just when moving the mouse inside the window or clicking again at the window list entry (which should minimize notepad again). This is with debian stable/trixie and kde plasma wayland. Could it reproduce it with my desktop and inside a VM.
