I tried this with a fresh prefix on an unpatched Wine 2.2 and no longer received the `HLSL shader parsing failed` error. There are still texture issues, but that is a different bug.
Nothing was changed in Wine which would fix this. Either the game now includes (and uses) native d3dcompiler_xx.dll or it stopped requiring that functionality altogether. -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
