Is there any change if you update to wine-1.3.19? The other thing you can try is downgrading to wine-1.2.3 to see if this is a regression.
Would I need to reinstall the game as well? Also I have Playonlinux so I have multiple versions of the Wine API, so if I need to reinstall anyway then I would do so on one of those versions.
