It could potentially be a windowing problem, specific to xfce. For reference, I
tested with KDE.

Testing with a virtual desktop might potentially help to confirm this.

If you can attach a log with
WINEDEBUG=+pid,+loaddll,+win,+event,+msg,+message,+seh, that might also help to
confirm this.
