After downloading and attempting to install through the command line I get the
error message:

 wine ~/Downloads/hauppaugecapture_1_0_34057 (1).exe
-bash: syntax error near unexpected token `('

The link you sent was in support of HD PVR 2.  I'm installing the HD PVR 60. 
Not sure if that makes a difference however.
