Sorry, I was busy. But good news: "Gets a works/fixed for me".
Tested with wine 1.1.25 today, Diablo 2 v1.12a, hardwareaccelaration=Full,
HKCU/Software/Wine/Alsa Driver/UseDirectHW=n, DirectDrawRenderer=opengl,
ati-drivers 9.6
(and running music with mpd at the same time).
