[Bug 10329] Sonic & Knuckles Collection freezes when starting a game

If I try to full screen it within a wine virtual desktop, it fails with this at
the console:
err:x11settings:X11DRV_ChangeDisplaySettingsEx No matching mode
found(320x240x8)! (desktop)

And a window saying 
"SetDisplayMode (320,240,8)
HSRESULT : = 80004001"
After this happens I get a nice application crash with debug messages and
everything

Outside a virtual desktop the game resizes fine.
Would this be a different bug to report?
