Sorry, I was looking at some other regressions for a bit.

I managed to run the game now, and I seem to observe memory usage very slowly
increasing while doing nothing but standing still in the spawn area. Of course
it's hard to be sure that's a leak (or our leak) but it seems like a lead at
least.

(Side note, wow, this game's aesthetics do a lot for my nostalgia.)
