Can you test newer wine version 1.8 or 1.9 series? You should add the console output while having this issue.
while running from console there is a blue screen(Not BSOD =) ) instead of video. When i start game from thunar i see thunar instead of video.
What version of wine was that? Your log shows 37d84f60-42cb-11ce-8135-00aa004bb851 and I checked appdb here https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=18567 and it has a bug link bug 9127.
