With patch applied the msi 1615 err disappears and the installer still hangs (new log attached). If I kill the installer and rerun it again the installer crashes much earlier (second log), wiping the wine prefix gets the installer to proceed to the new hang location again.
I see no obvious msi issues. You should fix this:
Could not load wine-gecko. HTML rendering will be disabled.
and try again.
