Oops, I can't login anymore. The login window shows up with animation! (That animation exists in Windows but I never saw it in Wine.) But then it seems to freeze, and moving mouse over it will hide the mouse cursor. I can close it, and it disappears with animation too.
I guess that's how the progress looks like sometimes :) I'll attach a slightly trimmed down version of the patch that reduces new functionality only to point_from_window() on the server side, and leaves visible region calculations intact.
