I'm new to wine and I have to report as well that I have faced the same problem with another application that uses InstallAnywhere installer. The application os the MagicDraw9.5 uml editor. The application is an old 2005 release. I get the same blank screen when the installer finishes the extraction. I have installed the directx9 and vcrun2005.
