Works fine for me with wine-0.9.54. I did rm -rf ~/.wine wget http://kegel.com/wine/winetricks sh winetricks vcrun6 wine TabbedView.exe and it came up properly.
Can you repeat my steps and see if it also works for you that way?
We found out that it runs well on remote DISPLAY so it might be X.org/NX (we use Nomachine NX) problem.
OK.. that was display color depth problem... Crash occurs only in 16bit color mode.
