A clean prefix is one where nothing has been installed or run under. The
default wine prefix is ~/.wine, you can set the active prefix using an
environment variable by running the installer like so:

cd /media/cdrom
WINEPREFIX=/home/daniel/wine-bf1942 ~/git/wine setup.exe
