You can find more info about this issue in this github thread https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/8075 Even though it says it was a proton regression, I tested on proton 10 and proton 9 version, I also tested on Wine 11.1, Wine 11.0 and Wine 10.20, at the end the performance is almost the same on all of them, very poor, which means that is not an issue related to proton alone. Maybe this performance issue is identical to many games that run poorly on wine and it would be huge if this problem would go away.
