[Bug 43638] Yermom demoscene demo crashes on start up

Each problem should be reported in a separate bug report and I think we should
limit this bug to the crash as the title states. Since there are already quite
a few bug reports about the missing gm.dls file (crash reason #1), e.g. bug
10791,  we should focus on the OpenGL issue (crash reason #2) that is also
indicated by the STAGED tests. The white screen issue deserves its own bug
report.
