Now i was able to find a reproducable pattern. If you are in Rivendell and first enter Elronds house, its likely to crash. Also when you first enter the new guest house (where Aragorn and the rest of the gang have been moved in book 14) its also likely to crash. After a restart, you are in those houses, and after leaving and re-entering, the crash won't happen.
