I'm running Ubuntu Hardy 8.04 (64 bit), Wine 1.0-rc1, ATi Radeon X1600 Pro w/ fglrx and an AMD Athlon 64 FX-57. Running SC3.exe with Wine, the program will enter fullscreen mode and alter the resolution, but will display either corrupted graphics, a blank screen or the desktop at the altered resolution. The intro music will begin playing, until any keyboard or mouse input at which point the game will produce the "exceptional error" message. I have uploaded a text file with the basic terminal output for such an attempt.
