I am unable to generate enough debug information to write a quality bug report like I did with bug 17019. However, after reading bug 12764, I did start to suspect Wine's implementation of USP10.DLL and tried the native one from Windows XP. Voila, problem solved, GC2 runs stable (with some minor font problems).
