There have been numerous times you've asked reporters not to change the original reported wine version. Austin, I always felt the "Removing deprecated CVS/GIT version tag." message to be inconsistent with the other handling of versions in bugzilla. The rest of the message (asking to set version to earliest broken version) is fine.
Bugzilla really isn't the place to discuss this, but the CVS/GIT tag was removed because it was ambiguous. Today's git is tomorrow's wine 1.1.44, but several months down the road, no one knows that, unless you put the git description in the bug. This was discussed and agreed on at Wineconf. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.winehq.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are watching all bug changes.
