I have the Steam version and definitely get the crash that Anthony reported initially in the latest Wine version.
Not having a clean prefix doesn't really help narrow things down. ;)
Can you attach the terminal output? Or even better, the +d3d11 debug log. I retested with wine 1.9.16. - make a clean 64bit prefix - install Steam - install the game (42GiBs to download, it takes a while) - press Play - The game starts up ok as previously, and hangs at the same spot after a new game is started. Except now when it hangs, the rotating loading -indicator is visible, and some parts of the game (maybe, hard to say since the game is about to fade-in and everything is quite dark). No winetricks needed, nothing changed from winecfg etc. Ubuntu 15.10, GTX 980 (352.63 driver). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
