Instead I did a fresh clean steam install (via playonlinux). THIS "FIXED" THE SCREEN CORRUPTION. So I assume that either Overlord1 Files or some winetricks-installed codecs/features collide with Overlord2. The fact that different from Overlord1 Overlord2 has complete sounds even without wmp installed may give a hint to the heart of the problem.
