* Why did you mark this as a duplicate? My drive is detected by Wine and partially by EAC, but the drive is not detected by either in bug 12359. I agree the summary of that bug was rather misleading, so I've corrected it based on the bug description, which makes it clear that the problem is that audio cds aren't detected by EAC even though the drive is detected in winecfg.
FYI, there's a workaround for EAC described in https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12363#c2. (I don't know if it still works.) The workaround does not work [on mac os|with my drive]. See the screenshot I just attached for the result. The app dies immediately after pressing OK.
