Turns out that's a problem with my multi-monitor setup.
Tested with KDE Plasma, both on X11 and XWayland.
As soon as I move the DOSBox window to the other screen, it doesn't update its
window contents anymore. As soon as I move it back, it resumes drawing its
contents like normally.
