[Bug 27962] regression stops Age of Wonders from working

I haven't had time to do regression testing, but, 1.3.26 seems to put things
back in order so I'm not sure if it's still worth doing.  If the fact that it
works again in 1.3.26 is sufficient, then I'm happy with this bug being
closed...
